About: Theresa FosterTheresa Foster has been teaching music professionally since 2010. She received her college education from Mansfield University in Pennsylvania and The University of Memphis, where she earned her bachelor’s in music education. She was the Assistant Band Director at Arlington High School for five years. Her students were successful in achieving numerous superior ratings at Concert Festival, Marching Band Competitions, and Solo and Ensemble events each year. She also had many students make the Tennessee All West and All State honor bands and orchestras. In addition to serving as an All State flute adjudicator for five years, Mrs. Foster has served as the WTSBOA Junior Gold Band Chair in 2014 and the Junior Red Band Chair in 2015.
Since becoming a stay-at-home mom in the spring of 2015, she has offered her service as a woodwind specialist and adjudicator for local school band programs in addition to teaching flute, piano, and music theory. She lives in Lakeland, TN with her husband, Daniel Foster (Band Director at Arlington MS), and their two children, Melody Ann and James David. She is a member of the Saint Francis Traditional Choir and Bell Choir and enjoys enriching the lives of her community with music. |
